Verneuil la Douce was born from the desire to offer an escape by evasion, a place capable of suspending time, awakening the imagination and opening up an inner space. To reside at Verneuil la douce is opening a poetic parenthesis through the dreamlike language of Camille Omen who imagined this place until its smallest details.
Located in Verneuil-d’Avre-et-d’Iton in the Eure department, historic Norman village on the edge of the Perche forest, the hotel offers a convenient location. Only one hour from Paris, it gives an easy and immediate escape, away from turmoil, and deeply connected to the nature.
It is a rooted-place, intimate but open to the world, which cultivates the art of receiving guests with simplicity and refinement.
« I would never have imagined opening a hotel one day. And then, one morning it was obvious. I’ve followed my instincts, guided by my sensitivity. This hotel is the reflection of what I am : a place thought with passion and sincerity – from monitoring the work to selecting the artists who accompanied me, including sketches of the
furnitures.
Through this artistic project, my mission is simple : put in the spotlight on unique artists whose talent and personality have deeply affected me.
